Last Days

Last day at work.... I have some hilarious & amazing coworkers.

Last day(s) hanging out in the city... Bayley & Nathan are in town... So thankful to be friends with these two. Bayley is a friend that I can always pick up where I left off with, and she is always so full of energy & questions & ready to go explore. I love it. Every conversation I have with Bayley she always intentionally encourages me in my walk with God & challenges me. So thankful for her friendship.

Lake Michigan was amazing. Completely frozen. Huge huge chunks of ice all over. It was beautiful.

Regretfully, I have no pictures of another important last day... A sleepover for Rae, Jacey & I. We stayed up until 2 am talking, and then transferred our sleepover into a queen sized bed which was then crashed by their boxer, Dexter. We proceeded to stay up late talking & laughing. Minus the dog situation, it was a great sleepover. I love these two girls & loved having one last night to spend with both of them. I love the inquisitive questions Rae comes up with...

A topic we always seem to (over?)discuss is communication styles & personalities. Rae taught us a new tip, which I like... Before starting a conversation you tell the "feedback-prone-listener" either "listen" or "feedback", eliminating the frustration of the talker. I like this tip. I often give a lot of unsolicited feedback. It is not to my benefit. So I think I will start asking those I listen to regularly to employ this tip, if necessary.

I didn't get any picture of the three of us, but got a few later that weekend of Jacey... It was a beautiful sun-filled day & all of the snow in the city was really beautiful.

I also had my last night at my gospel community... Once again, I sound like a broken record, but I am so thankful for these people. The last 7 months I have spent getting to know them & it's been so good. They have encouraged me so much. I was so thankful that they each took time to pray for me tonight, for my travels ahead & for my life to be fully surrendered to God & to have a heart like His. What a gift a community like this is.
