In the middle of April I made a trip back to Chicago & Michigan to work in the ICU to keep my casual status, and also to go to Michigan for Lisa's wedding! Here is the first day or so of my trip...

It was so fun to fly over some of the mountains that I have hiked in, and see the lakes, from the sky!
I traded this....
...For this! I got so turned around on the el, multiple times. It is crazy how you can forget a lot in just a few months!
It was so fun to walk around the city with a fresh set of eyes & soak in the beautiful architecture & masses of people everywhere.
On my way up to Chicago, I took a detour with Jacey & stopped at her house for the afternoon & evening to meet her new little puppy, Olive! Coming from someone who is not a dog-person at all, I absolutely love this little puppy. I couldnt remember the last time I was around a puppy! Olive was so spunky, so fun, chewed on everything, and was so curious! We had so much fun playing with and laughing at her the rest of the day.
This was so hilarious. Joannie was holding her and she literally fell asleep like a baby in her arms!
One of the most gorgeous sunsets I have seen in awhile.
And she fell asleep like a baby, a second time.
Photo credit to Jacey Secreto. So adorable.
It was so fun riding the train back to Michigan & catching up!
I love how we can just pick up where we left off. :)
