Terrible fires in the valley. Everything smelled like smoke. We got out at one point & could over look a huge valley, and see fires spontaneously burning.

Crater Lake National Park
Sunset Hike on Watchman Trail, up to the Watchman's Tower.
The next day we wandered around the lake, and then hiked down to the lake from the rim.
We made it to Eugene! When we arrived at the Martins, we had no idea what to expect.
Our first night there we watched Mr. Martin feed two squirrels out of his hand. It was very interesting.
This is captures a little piece of Eugene.
First day of work for me, up to Portland for a day of exploring & then a red-eye for Jonathan!
