Day 1: Drive from Michigan to Chicago. Spot "FATFUN" on the freeway in Indiana.
Have dinner with cousins, aunts & uncles.
Board flight to Phoenix!
Use super Army skills to carry all of your gear efficiently.
Day 2: Drive to LA. Sit in traffic.
Listen to great music & enjoy sunshine with all of the windows down.
Day 3: Go camping next to the ocean, eat delicious brunch, find a cat to pet.
Learn that if your car is leaking & it just tastes like water, you're fine.
Day 4: Along PCH 1.
Jonathan arrives at the Pacific Ocean for the first Time.
He runs around exclaiming "God Bless America!!" and "from SEA to SHINING SEA!"
Day 5: Arrive in San Francisco. Find international hostel. Get honked at & with a follow up apology. Realize West-Coast has a different atmosphere.
Delicious Blue Bottle Coffee Company & perusing the market.
Rent Bikes. Bike for an entire day. Walk up a lot of hills with the bikes. Randomly end up outside Robin Williams estate, watch filming outside. (he had died the day before)
We love San Fran!
